At Acer Gundog Training we understand that bringing a new puppy into your home can be a daunting experience. Sure, there are plenty of books you can read, but a lot of what you read can be confusing.
Our aim is to help you get it right, from the very start of the relationship with your dog, so that you can both enjoy life together.
Our Puppy Home Visit is not only designed to equip you to deal with those early issues from the whirlwind that just arrived in your house, but also to enable you to get some basic training underway.
What Is The Puppy Home Visit?
The Puppy Home Visit can be undertaken before vaccinations are complete. You’ll be ready to join one of our Gundog Puppy Classes with some of the basics mastered and better equipped to work with real-life distractions such as being outdoors for the first time and training with other dogs present.
Home Visit
By visiting you at home we can see 
the environment in which your dog lives and we can meet the whole family. We can answer any questions you may have about how to care for the new addition to the family, feeding, sleeping through the night, toilet training, nipping, or jumping up.
Individual Training Session
The best place to start training the basics is away from distractions, especially other dogs. During your Home Visit, we can devote our time together to developing the behaviours that you want to see and give a real head-start before you come to puppy class. It is up to you who in the family comes to this session, but involving all parties is a great way for the family to build a bond and enjoy being with your puppy as he grows up.

plus a travel charge of 45p per mile, calculated from our base at SG8 0PD using Google Maps
