Our venue at Ravenstone, near Olney in Bucks offers close links to Milton Keynes, Newport Pagnell, Northampton and Bedford.

We help gundog owners understand their dog’s motivations in order to channel all of that drive and energy and put it to good use to stimulate their dog’s brain.

Gundog Puppy Training

All gundog breeds under 6 months old

Puppy Home Visit

Our Puppy Pre-Class Home Visit can be undertaken before vaccinations are complete.

You’ll then be ready to join one of our Gundog Puppy Training Classes with some of the basics mastered.  You’ll be better equipped to work with real-life distractions such as being outdoors for the first time and meeting other dogs.

Gundog Puppy Training Course (6 weeks)

Our Gundog Puppy Training Classes  are suitable for all gundog breeds under 6 months old who are fully vaccinated.  They are all held in small groups in an outdoor setting.

Included in the package:

    • 6 Week Course Gundog Puppy Classes
    • Online Gundog Puppy Course, featuring over 30 videos which demonstrate everything covered in the classes, plus helpful solutions to common puppy problems
    • Membership of our Private Facebook Group exclusively for clients

Adult Gundog Training Classes

All gundog breeds – minimum age: 4 months

Beginner Foundation Course (6 weeks)

Having a happy and well-mannered dog is top of most people’s wishlists.  We hear this from many dog owners when they first come to Acer for help.

We can show you how to get the best out of your gundog using his natural instincts to hunt and retrieve. Our training methods incorporate only the most up to date, scientifically proven techniques.

Our Beginner Foundation Courses  are suitable for all gundog breeds over 4 months old and comfortable being around other dogs. Dogs who are age 4-6 months would ideally complete our Gundog Puppy Course first so they have learnt the important lifeskills.

The class will be held with a small group of dogs in an outdoor setting.

You will receive access to our Online Gundog Training Course which contains video demonstrations of every single training exercise we cover in the classes, plus a host of additional content.

Gundog Individual Training Sessions

Acer Gundog Training offer a comprehensive support package of Individual Training Sessions. Experience shows us that the best way to way to achieve long-lasting results is to work toward an overall plan, covering one area at a time. Little and often is the best way for your dog to learn.  It helps you to stay motivated by working at a pace you are comfortable with.
