How to Find Us in Buntingford – Hertfordshire

Directions to Acer Gundog Training in Buntingford, Herts

We run Gundog Training Classes and Individual Training at Hyde Hall Farm in Sandon, near Buntingford. Here, we have close links to Royston, Hertford and Stevenage.

We have access to a large open meadow which has grass cut to various lengths, crops different types of cover, woodland and water. The presence of game birds adds a realistic element to our training session.

It is private land and so we are able to fire shot and work with cold game without risk of offending our neighbours.

The address of our training ground which is located between Sandon and Buntingford is:

Hyde Hall Farm, Sandon Lane, Sandon, Buntingford, Herts SG9 0RT

Sat-navs will often route you through Hyde Hall Farm itself as being the shortest route. Please note: this is a private road which we are not permitted to use. Our only permissible access is from Sandon Lane which can be reached via either the A10, or Mill Green. The best option is to avoid using the postcode altogether because it covers such a large rural area and follow the Google Map pin which is located in the exact field we use for training.

Directions from A10: just after the village of Chipping (if heading south), or the second Buntingford roundabout (if heading north) – turn off the A10 at the junction which has a stand with fresh eggs for sale. Follow the lane for approx 1 mile to the fork in the road. Take the right fork where you will see the concrete hardstanding next to the entrance for Hyde Hall Farm (see picture above).

Directions from A505: take the exit off the A505 next to Country Boarding Kennels and follow the road south for approx 5 miles past Sandon and through Green End and then Mill End. Exit the village and continue. At the fork in the road, take the left fork where you will see the concrete hardstanding next to the entrace for Hyde Hall Farm (see picture above).

Please only park on the concrete hardstanding by the gate to our training field so that you do not block access for farm vehicles.
